  Team Athena is currently about 40 active participants strong. Our participants include women of all levels of running, from beginner to advanced. Since our establishment in 2006, we have been a group of women who genuinely have an interest in running, are looking for a supportive team environment, and share a common goal of contributing back to our community.   Every great athlete has a coach behind her. Someone who has given direction, guidance, encouragement and…at times…a good hard kick to stay on track. This is what Nikki Rafie does for all the athletes on Team Athena. Somehow, Nikki know where people are in their training and can tailor workouts to help each athlete reach their own potential.   As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we maintain a set of elected board members that ensure team athena is responsible and thriving. Each of the board members are active runners, who you can expect to see at track workouts. Our goal is to assure community involvement, maximize our opportunity to reach women and to create an environment that is supportive encouraging and fun. Meet our board members here!
